Steve Wilkinson
Steve, who is affectionately, and well known, as “WheelchairSteve”, has been delivering talks and training about “dealing with disability” for 5 years. He calls on his life long experience doing so himself. His background is in IT, having worked for several companies including NEI plc and Courtaulds in a career spanning some 30 years.
His passion is to make a difference in the World for other people with a disability by educating the public and people in business about the issues people face when society disables you.
He has developed and delivers a training course entitled Disability Appreciation and Communication Education (ACE).
This focuses on helping delegates appreciate the issues faced by disabled people on a day-to-day basis, issues that could directly affect them now or in the future personally or with friends and family or in the workplace. It also explores the importance various forms of communication play in dealing with these issues.
Steve is an Affiliate Member of the IFL.
